I was only in charge of a pie and cranberry sauce but they both turned out nummy :)

Apple Frangipane Tart

I love the rich jewel-like color of cranberry sauce. This year I made a cherry-cranberry sauce with dried cherries instead of the dried cranberries I usually use. It turned out a bit sweeter and more palatable to those who don't like a really tart cranberry sauce.

Brandon and I have both been feeling a little under the weather lately so I decided to make some homemade tortilla soup. Now I only wish I had made more :(

bruschetta with fresh mozzarella cheese... mmmm... heaven.

we also had a quick pasta while camping this weekend with fresh cherry tomatoes, garlic, and olive oil. And I will probably be making this tart for dinner tonight...

any other ideas? or does anyone want to pick up any cherry tomatoes or squash? :)

I promise there won't be many of these BF posts haha...
My sister and I had made a vegetarian gravy for thanksgiving from this vegetable stock that is seriously the best gravy I've ever had, veggie or non. And because the stock is filled with darker colored veggies it really turns out richer and more full of colorful than any of the turkey gravies that I tried yesterday... (we have like 4 thanksgivings to attend) ANYway...onto the boyfriend stuff... I had a tiny little bit of stock left, a cup or so and we went to so much trouble to make it I didn't want to just throw it out and so I put my creative cooking cap on and I said "Hey, I bet some eggs poached in that stuff would be dang tasty" and so off I went. Well... eggs poached in a really dark brown liquid come out looking well... less than appetizing lemme tell ya. I served them up to Brandon and said "I call these um..... dirty eggs" and he gave me a kindof funny look... but then eats away! haha.... I love that boy, he'll try any of my cooking experiments. The eggs were DELICIOUS too so that was a good reward also ;)
