I was only in charge of a pie and cranberry sauce but they both turned out nummy :)



Apple Frangipane Tart




I love the rich jewel-like color of cranberry sauce. This year I made a cherry-cranberry sauce with dried cherries instead of the dried cranberries I usually use. It turned out a bit sweeter and more palatable to those who don't like a really tart cranberry sauce.

your pictures are gorgeous..kevin wanted to know what kind of lighting and camera you are using..(he is crazy photography guy!)

I'm flattered :)

I have the canon 20D. Both of these were shot with a 50mm/2.8 macro lens. And the light is just plain ol' sunlight coming through my windows. I've played with lighting, but never been formally trained with it or anything... natural light is my favorite to shoot with. I did manipulate the sunlight in the cranberry shot a bit by diffusing the light through the window with a white sheet for this shot. I use what I can, white sheets as diffusers, foamboard as reflectors haha... but it works for what I'm doing. :)
